About Beau

Beau Theriot, owner of The OASIS, had a goal of opening a small hamburger joint on Lake Travis in the early 1980's.  That dream became a reality when the doors at The OASIS first opened in 1982. Located on a cliff 450-feet above Austin's Lake Travis, The OASIS has earned the reputation as Sunset Capital of Texas.

Beau has fostered the entrepreneurial spirit since the early 1970's.  He created the renowned Brownstone Restaurant in Houston, that eventually showcased his talent as a designer.  Red Room features New York Nightlife -- Texas Style (redroomhouston.com).  As an upscale gathering location for Sips & Sounds in Houston's Kirby District, it is one of the most popular venues in River Oaks.  With a worldwide reputation as one of the country's leading designers, he created a venue for his art and furnishings' collection from around the world.  That venue is the Brownstone Gallery in Houston, as well as The Treasury  in Austin (thetreasury-austintx.com).

Complementing the Tuscan architecture of The OASIS, just around the curve is Villa Montana (villamontanatexas.com), another creation of Beau's. It is considered Austin's Premier Concierge Community. Beautiful homes enrich the garden, canyon and lake views, along with even more earth in which to invest. 

Construction on Oasis, Texas is well underway with completion scheduled for Spring 2011.  Approximately 30 retail shops are being built for artisans, apparel & accessories, jewelry, gifts, confectioneries and more.  Two new restaurants will be added featuring Texas barbeque and an on-site micro-brewery, plus one with Mediterranean cuisine featuring a martini and seafood bar.  All with the same great views that made The OASIS famous.  Stay tuned and check it out at oasistex.com.
